Introduction

The San Germán Campus of Inter American University of Puerto Rico offers a program of graduate study leading to the Master of Arts degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). The purpose of this program is to prepare professionals in TESL and bilingual education. It provides training in theoretical and applied linguistics with special emphasis on teaching in a bilingual environment. Courses are scheduled during our regular Fall and Spring semesters, and during our intensive Summer semester.

Our dedicated faculty members provide students not only with a strong background in theoretical and applied linguistics but we also promote and mentor our students to explore their research interests. Students can participate in our Teaching Assistanship program if they have good academic standing.
